With over 30 years of experience, Prof. Dr. Hempen and his team at the Medical Specialist Center in Munich focus on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture at university level. Our practice is one of the largest and oldest of its kind in the German-speaking area, with nine physicians, therapists, and practitioners in six specialized fields. In addition to several years of Western medical training, our doctors have highly qualified additional training such as official certifications in "Acupuncture" and "Naturopathy" or a Master of Science in TCM (TUM), coupled with extensive professional experience.

We treat you holistically, placing great emphasis on thorough medical history taking while considering your living conditions and psychological state. TCM therapy typically includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, and if necessary, dietary advice and Tuina massage. Chinese medicine offers a unique perspective on causes and healing possibilities, which we harmoniously combine with Western medical knowledge through our dual training.
